I believe learning is fun although it might involve a struggle every now and then. Conquering those struggles is what it's all about. We learn by making mistakes and sometimes that doesn't feel great, but I'm here to help you learn to embrace those mistakes and keep growing by offering honest and meaningful encouragement. If you're overly frustrated, we need to take a breath and start over in a new way. Whatever it takes, we will get you to your learning goals! I am here to help you learn. Sometimes that means taking a look at your likes and dislikes or your skills versus your needs. The sky is the limit! Together, we will make sure you are growing and learning. I am here for you and your learning. To help you best, I would love to know more about your life. What do you love? What do you hate? What do you wish for? Even if we have nothing in common, there will be something about you I just love.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught in traditional classrooms and online for over 25 years. Subjects taught include AP US History, US History, Civics, Economics, Psychology, World Geography, and World History. I have also served as an elementary librarian and I love to read and help students find the perfect book to suit their interests. I have a master's degree in education and a master's degree in Library and Information Science, endorsements to teach economics, psychology, global studies, and ESL.
