Bio
Hello there! My name is Ms. Gilbert and I have been an educator for over 10 years. My career was sparked by my mother who was also a teacher. The joy she received from helping her students led me to explore teaching as early as high school. In college, I was offered a scholarship for a dual degree in General Education and Special Education. I discovered through this program my passion for exceptional students. I have been a co-teacher in all grade levels from 6th-12th grade the past 10 years. This has allowed me to be in many different classrooms learning all sorts of subjects! I specialize in helping students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism. My passion though is simply helping students learn to love learning!

I have been teaching for over 10 years in both general and Special Education classes. I have worked with all grade levels but primarily worked with Middle and High School students, assisting them in all sorts of topics. My specialty I would say is working with students who have ADHD and Mental Health disabilities. This has brought me to my current position working with students in alternative settings who struggle academically and need extra time, care, and patience.
