Hello! I am Holly Johnson, and I love to make students confident in their own abilities. Finding student strengths and how students learn best is at the forefront of my teaching. My goals for tutoring are to use student interests to engage students and make the learning personal for them. I believe it is important for students to make connections with their learning and the real world to truly understand and retain information. Teaching has been my life-ling passion and I love to help people of all ages learn!
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching math and English for over 20 years, in both middle and high school. I have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction and I specialize in alternative teaching method. My husband is in the Army, and I have lived and taught in 3 different states. I teach both in-person and virtually, students from elementary school through high school. While I currently teach math, I am also certified in high school English and I enjoy explaining grammar and improving compositions.
