As a 16-year veteran teacher, I know all students can learn if they are met where they are and given enough guidance to help them get where they need to be. I believe the process of learning is more valuable than the product of learning, so my feedback is focused on that process. My goal is to ensure that you get the specific help you need. Not only do I want you to be a critical reader, writer, and thinker, but I also want you to find your own voice. It is vital during the learning process that you develop the confidence to believe in your ability to learn and to improve. In order for you to be a successful student, you must know that I believe in your abilities and your potential for success. If you continue to try, I will be here to help you to improve and meet--and maybe even exceed--your own expectations. Personally, I love to read, travel, stream movies and television shows, and spend time with my family and friends. I look forward to working with you!

With a Bachelor's in American Lit & Culture, a Master's in English education, and 16 years in the classroom, my specialities are reading, writing, grammar, composition, rhetorical analysis, US history, public speaking, and US politics. I am adept at helping students reach their full potential by developing engaging lessons, providing encouragement, building relationships, and working closely with students so they can meet high expectations.
