My tutoring style involves a flow of modeling, guided and independent practice. If I am teaching you a new skill I will first explain then model how to complete the task with step by step instructions, visual aids and interactive technology. We will then work together to complete some practice and then I will have you work on your own so that I can see you are mastering the skill. We will also play some games, read together and do some extra fun practice activities to help reinforce the skills we are learning. If we are working on an assignment from your school or if I am helping you study for an upcoming test, we will work together to go over the material the entire time! I'm here to help you however I can. About me: I love spending time with family and friends, reading, watching TV or movies, music, traveling, sports, being outside (especially at the beach), exercising, cooking and baking! I can't wait to meet you! :)

I have been an educator in New Jersey since 2011. I have my Masters Degree from Rutgers University in both Elementary and Special Education and am certified to teach both the general and special ed populations. I have both taught and tutored students across grades kindergarten through eighth grade in various public, private and home school settings and academic subjects. I specialize in reading interventions and instruction and I am trained in the Orton Gillingham Multisensory Reading Program.
