Everyone can learn and grow! When we struggle, we become stronger learners. I am known for my warm and encouraging connection with my students of any age. In addition to helping my students make learning gains, I enjoy presenting concepts in a fun and meaningful way and challenging them to think creatively, critically, and independently.

I have 20 years of classroom teaching experience in grades K-12 (reading K-12 & math K-8) and 7 years of college teaching (Reading/Test Prep/Writing/Success Skills). Part of that time includes instruction as a Reading Specialist & Exceptional Student Education Specialist (PK- 8). I spent an additional 7 years as a principal (Alternative School gradess 6-12) & district administrator (RTI/MTSS). In addition, I have experience in private and public schools in two different states.
