Bio
My name is Shanna Ayer. I have a passion for travel, music, movies, and spending time with my family. I love to cook and bake. I love coffee. I also enjoy exercising and trying new foods that meet my nutrition goals. I believe that all students can learn through fun, creative ways. I love to share my excitement for learning with all of my students. I am a lifelong learner. I believe that we can learn something new everyday. My goals as a tutor is to make learning fun and to bring math and science to life with real world examples and experiences. I love to build rapport and relationships with my students through a variety of ways such as: learning their strengths, interests, likes and dislikes, hobbies, and just having a good conversation with them. I believe that we can all connect through new and exciting ways to learn and I am excited for the opportunity to teach as well as learn from my students.
Teacher Specialization
I have been in education for 15 years. I have taught in traditional brick and mortar classrooms as well as virtual education classrooms. I love digital technologies and incorporating them into lessons to provide high quality, engaging, and interactive sessions. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education, two master’s degree : one in educational technology and online learning and one in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math). I am also endorsed in Gifted and Talented Ed.
