Bio
I am an experienced, passionate educator that has had the absolute pleasure of teaching for 17 years. When I am not teaching, I love reading a good book with my toes in the sand, traveling and playing with my kiddos and dog. I chose to teach and tutor because I love to teach, inspire and help students to learn and grow and truly become their best selves! I believe education is not a one size fits all model. I think students learn in different ways and it is my job as an educator to help find the bests ways for students to be successful. One of my biggest philosophies about education is that all students should receive timely feedback on all of their work. Timely feedback is crucial to a students success. They need to see why or why not they were successful with a task almost immediately to have best success. I think most of all learning should be fun, exciting, engaging and something students look forward too! I am here to help you succeed!
Teacher Specialization
I am a certified teacher for the past 17 years. I have taught grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. In addition to teaching these classes I have also tutored both in person and virtually small group and individual sessions. I have experience teaching Students with Disabilities and ELL students. I have been teaching in the virtual education setting for the past three years. I have a Masters Degree in English Education. I have won the Stride Award for Exception Leadership for 2022 and 2023.
