Hello! My name is Verlisa Snaril. I enjoy reading, writing, music, and bicycle riding, but what I love most is teaching. I believe students learn best through differentiated instruction. Teaching this way gives students choice and flexibility in how they learn, and helps teachers personalize learning. Teachers should teach subject content as well as develop student’s critical thinking skills. As educators, we must teach our students critical thinking skills and practice them ourselves to objectively analyze information to be successful. I make students feel comfortable, confident, and eventually trust is established. I make positive comments about each student because each one of them possess positive attributes that should be nurtured to increase academic performance. I truly love teaching and I believe teachers who love teaching, teach students to love learning and I will forever be a teacher at heart.

I am a graduate of Southern University. I have a bachelor's degree in education and several teaching certifications. I have over 30 years of teaching experience. I am certified to teach elementary and middle school education with a focus on history. Over the years I have had the opportunity to effectively teach in numerous content areas, such as business subjects, reading, math, language arts, and history. I have a truly sincere love for teaching.
