Welcome! I am Ms. Montero and I am so excited to be a part of your learning journey. I have been teaching for 9 years and I believe all students can succeed! With a positive attitude and the willingness to make mistakes and try again, everyone can work toward reaching their goals. I enjoy helping students realize their potential and working through the process of overcoming learning obstacles. I also enjoy reading, baking, and animals- all parts of me I bring to the classroom in one way or another to assist with learning. It is my goal to create and maintain an engaging and fun environment where any student can feel welcome, heard, and ready to learn. Together we can persevere to learn new skills, become critical thinkers, and meet educational goals.
I have experience with students preschool age through 7th grade in both whole class and small group setting. I have been a resource teacher, substitute teacher, and classroom teacher. This variety of experience has allowed me to work with many students and grades, so I am confident I can help any student achieve their goals.
