Hello! I'm Ms. Perritt (like the bird but spelled different). I'm a fan of puns, even if they are cringey. I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and involve everyone in the room-especially a virtual room. 4/5 years I taught from my house, so I understand the ins and outs of virtual learning. When not helping you tackle a problem during a tutoring session, I enjoy kayaking, reading, and bingeing a good show. And eating my husband's cooking; I can basically only make mac-n-cheese. I look forward to getting to know you while we work together to ensure your success in 5th grade Math/English or middle school ELA!
My bachelors is in Drama & Philosophy. After working in non-profit arts while volunteering with youth organizations, I knew I wanted to be around kids all day. I completed a teaching certification program. When the world closed due to covid, I took the opportunity to get a Masters of Education degree in Social-Emotional Learning and technology. I taught 5th Grade, all subjects, for 2 years. Then I moved to Middle School ELA, Drama, and Creative Writing for 3 years across 6th, 7th, & 8th grades.
