Bio

Hi there! I'm Dr. Acitelli (you can call me Dr. A), and I've been teaching in some capacity for about 14 years and tutoring for about 16 years. I have taught a wide variety of math subjects, and my knowledge of the vertical alignment of mathematics courses puts me in a unique position to help you reach your full potential. With me, you'll get to explore the "why" just as much as the skills themselves. I strongly believe that everyone can learn math, and I am here to work with you to ensure that you feel confident to succeed in your mathematical journey, providing detailed feedback along the way! Teaching Specialization

I have a BS, MS, and PhD in Math and a BS and PhD minor in Math Education. I taught high school math for six years and am currently a college teaching professor. I have taught everything from pre-algebra to fourth level college math, and I love it all equally! I am a NC Teaching Fellow and have won many teaching awards at the high school and college levels. I have experience creating new classes and writing district curricula. I tutor all levels, but I specialized in high school math.
