Bio

Hello! My name is Danielle and I am a passionate humanities educator. In English, I love helping students develop their writing skills, craft thoughtful essays and read critically. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for literature and giving students the tools they need to become strong writers. I am happy to tutor students with any aspect of English class whether it be understanding grammar, analyzing literary texts, mastering new vocabulary or navigating the writing process. I spent several years working in the classroom with students. I am also fascinated by history and understanding different cultures. It led me to get a master's in art history and to work as an assistant curator in a museum. I spent some time living in France when I was working on my thesis and I am a true francophile. Now, when I am not busy with my kids, I enjoy tutoring in person and online. I welcome the opportunity to work with students of all backgrounds and identities. Let's do this!

Teaching Specialization

I received my bachelor's degree in English Literature and Public Relations from USC. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in Teaching from Occidental College and a Master's Degree in Art History from the University of Washington. I I was a classroom English teacher for several years and an assistant curator at a museum. I have taught 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th in both public and private schools. I now tutor students in person and online from elementary school through college.
