Hello! ¿Qúe tal? I'm an enthusiastic believer that teaching is not about my skills and how they serve my students, but how we can use YOUR skills to meet & exceed your learning targets. I started learning Spanish when I was in elementary school and I connect really well with second language learners since I am one too! I love to use my own experiences and things I'm still learning about as a way to engage my students and work together to achieve the desired learning goal. I've spent years teaching reading & early literacy skills, writing, math, social studies, and science in both Spanish and English. I get really fired up about geography because I love to travel and learn about other cultures, history, and ways of life. This makes me very excited work with students in those subject areas! I hope to meet you and help you work toward the skills and achievements you need support with.
A big bulk of my teaching career has been in self-contained bilingual elementary schools with Spanish and English as the target languages for various subjects. My specialty is with students ranging from Kindergarten-3rd grade, but I currently substitute and tutor students of all ages. -Master of Arts in Education -Bachelor's Degree in Spanish -English Speakers of Othe
