Bio

My name is Heather McMullen. I feel that all students come with unique qualities that enhance their potential and should be given a safe, loving, positive and productive learning community where they can feel prepared and successful. Every child needs someone to show them they are capable of learning and growing regardless of their inner voice telling them they are not worthy or people that damage their confidence. Students are armed for success when educators, parents, and students work as a team. Teaching and learning is a lifelong process in which there is a need for reflection, collaboration, rigor and the ability to embrace differences. I teach students to find a love for learning and to make it fun. Life is short, enjoy each skill you are able to learn.

Teaching Specialization

I have a masters degree in curriculum and design from Drury University. I have taught grades K, 1, 2, 3, and 5.
