Bio
Hello, my name is Austin! I am a passionate elementary educator who has experience in grades 1st-10th. I form genuine connections with students and want them to walk away from my lessons excited and confident. I am a huge proponent of game-based instruction and incorporating movement into lessons. I speak Italian, Spanish, and Arabic. I use research and data to inform my teaching to offer the best instruction possible. I also am an adjunct professor of education at GCU! In my free time, I enjoy gardening, raising quail, reading, and spending time with my family.
Teacher Specialization
I have privately tutored remotely for almost 3 years now in subjects like reading, math, ESL, Spanish, and Italian. I have my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, and am licensed K-8 bilingually in Arizona. I have 5 years of classroom experience. Out of the 5 years, 3 of them have been in 1st grade. I led my previous school's literacy assessment program and helped monitor and make plans for students.
