Bio
Hello! My name is Ms. Dilthey. My approach to teaching and tutoring is student-centered, meeting you where you are in your learning, and using the strategies and methods that work best for you to help you achieve your academic goals. I welcome your questions!! I work to create a supportive learning environment where mistakes are expected (that is how we learn, after all!) and then learn from those mistakes improve next time. As the former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abudl Kalam said, “If you fail, never give up because F.A.I.L. means First Attempt In Learning.” When I’m not teaching, you will find me exploring new places on my bike, playing with my three dogs (yes, THREE!) or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Teacher Specialization
I have been a secondary educator for over 20 years. Teaching has been the joy of a lifetime. My journey reflects my love of learning, with a B.A. from Dartmouth College, an M.A. from Washington University, St. Louis and another M.A. from Boston University. My teaching career started in Florida in 2001, where I taught Math and Social Studies. It has taken me overseas for a decade before I returned to the US and started teaching with Stride virtually in 2022.
