My educational philosophy has played a crucial role in shaping my teaching methods, classroom management, curriculum design, and interactions with students, ultimately influencing the overall educational experience. As an educator, I believe that the purpose of education extends beyond the transmission of knowledge; it is about fostering a love for learning, nurturing critical thinking skills, and empowering students to become active, lifelong learners. I value individuality and aim to tailor my teaching to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering an atmosphere that promotes collaboration, creativity, and respect. My goal is not only to impart subject-specific knowledge but also to equip students with the skills, confidence, and ethical values necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Teacher Specialization
I have a master's degree in education and am certified in both NY and Florida in both elementary and health education. I have taught all grades from k-6. That experience consists of in person, hybrid, virtual, summer school, tutoring and enrichment programs. The majority of my time was spent in first, third and sixth grades. I have taught all subject and areas. I have also been a mentor, team leader and educator of the year!
