Bio

My name is Deborah Lansford. My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow academically, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I strive to form a relationship with each student so that I can discover their unique learning style in order to provide the best education possible. I believe that children retain better what they learn if they have fun learning, so I try to add a bit of fun to each lesson. I have been honored to be selected as the "Teacher Of The Year" two separate times, and the Resource Teacher Of The Year one time. I have earned a BA in Education, and a Master's Degree in Special Education. My specialty is building a foundation for K-3 students, and working with 4th-5th graders who struggle. I meet children where they are, and help them climb to where they need to be.
