Bio
Hi! My name is Mrs. Mathias and I am so excited to be a Stride tutor! Growing up, I struggled with learning but thrived in playing sports. I turned to sports for a lot! I played basketball and volleyball. In college, I played on the club volleyball team and LOVED IT! I have two little girls, a husband and a yellow lab. We love watching OSU and Steelers football games. I chose to become a tutor because I really enjoy working in small group settings with students where we focus on exactly what they need and to help them gain confidence within themselves. I believe that every child can learn and achieve their goals with hard work and confidence. I like to get to know each of my students' before starting the educational side of learning. It is so important that we build a rapport so we can better understand each other and our needs. My goal for you is to enjoy our time together, work hard and to never give up!

I have experience teaching Pre-K through 3rd grade. I have taught in Arizona, Alabama and Ohio. I have my bachelor's degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching.
