Bio
Howdy! I have enjoyed learning and teaching math for as long as I can remember. I find joy in helping students feel confident and successful in a subject that many find difficult. Relationships matter and I firmly believe that creating an environment where students feel safe and seen is critical for their success. I think it is important during a tutoring session for the student(s) to feel comfortable enough to ask questions and leave feeling more confident than when they started. I enjoy CrossFit, True Crime Podcasts, and hanging out with my family.
Teacher Specialization
As a high school math teacher, I taught multiple levels of math. After four years in the classroom, I became a High School Guidance Counselor. During my years as a Counselor, I tutored students in math whether that was a quick question during lunch or help before/after school. I started my 13th year as an Educator & currently work as a part time Counselor, tutor, and online math instructor. I have the knowledge and skills to tutor students from 6th grade through Algebra 2.
