Bio
Welcome! I am Mrs. Harrison and I look forward to meeting you and helping you become the best student you can. I believe all students can do math; they just need to find the method that works best for them. I like to present the information in a variety of ways and try to relate it to things in the students’ real-world. Through tutoring, I hope students become more confident in themselves and their ability to learn anything they put their mind to. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my two daughters. I also love staying active so you may find that we take some brain breaks during our sessions to re-energize ourselves.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching virtually for 13 years and tutoring students in various capacities for 25 years. During that time I have taught everything from 5th grade math to pre-calculus to a very wide variety of student populations. My specialty areas are middle school math and algebra. I hold a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a minor in math education.
