I am an educator of 10 years, specializing in elementary education. I enjoy reading, traveling with my family, and catching up on the latest movies and tv shows in my free time. I have a passion for teaching and I believe that children learn best through active participation in an engaging, fun, safe learning environment. I've taught in both brick & mortar and virtual settings. Your child can expect to engage in various activities using a multi-sensory, interactive tools. I utilize data and observation to tailor lessons to students' needs. I provide students with plenty of encouragement, praise, and feedback throughout sessions to ensure they are involved and learning at their own pace. I get to know students' academic needs, personality, interests, and learning style because I know that students need to feel comfortable and supported!

I have taught elementary school for 9 years and worked as a tutor for 1 year. I taught in public school, private school, and virtual school. I am certified to teach grades PreK-5th in all academic subjects. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Albany State University and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Ashford University. I served as my grade level's team lead for 2 years and planned reading and phonics instruction for my grade level for 5 years.
