Bio
Hey! I am Ms. Terri. I believe that students learn best when they are having fun and connecting with the materials. I enjoy chatting about what you are reading and helping you think critically about your texts and finding creative ways to write about it and discuss it. I enjoy building positive relationships and helping you know what a fabulous writer you are. I taught theatre so I truly enjoy being creative and having some fun while learning! I have an English Bulldog who is my sidekick and I enjoy yoga. My favorite literary character is the Mad Hatter. I love tutoring because it enables me to help students achieve their goals without having to give them grades. I get to have all the fun!
Teacher Specialization
I have taught English/Language Arts in both middle and high school. I am very passionate about both reading and writing. I have taught theatre, ELA, career investigations, and journalism and helped develop a student led news program. I have also taught Classical Education which included intense studies in Shakespeare, Latin, and philosophy. I have worked with students in public schools, private schools, homeschooled students and those in college.
