Hey there, my name is Aaliyah! My passion lies in supporting young learners through holistic approaches as they navigate their developmental journey. Teaching is where my heart is, as I adore making learning a fun and engaging experience for children. I firmly believe that the best way for students to absorb information is through movement, hands-on learning, and real-life connections. My primary goal is to nurture my students' confidence in their ability to grasp new concepts. For me, building a strong connection is key. I love getting to know my students beyond academics, integrating their interests into our lessons to make the learning material relatable. The last five years I have taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade. I have tutored preschool to 8th grade. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters Degree in Youth Development Leadership. I have been in the education field since I was a little girl teaching Children's Church lessons, but my official journey in the education world started 8 years ago.
