Bio
Hi! My Name is Ali Legra. I believe that students are innately curious. I believe in tapping into that curiosity and building out lessons that not only engage but also cover the requested content. Tutoring should be engaging and exciting; building knowledge and developing the desire to seek more information. Working with the students requires becoming a learner. Learning about them by listening to them. feeling heard and understood will build the foundation of trust that I can then work from when sharing new learning. I am an educator at heart and have been working with learners of all ages since I was in elementary school.
Teacher Specialization
I am a certified pre-K through Elementary teacher as well as being trained in the Montessori methods. I have taught for over 10 years in both public and private settings, including tutoring students and training educators internationally. Having worked in a variety of settings gives me a wealth of strategies that I can draw from to make every learner successful.
