Hello there! My name is Ms. Farless and I am very much looking forward to working with you! The past several years have been the most rewarding part of my career. As a Math Intervention Teacher, I've helped students who have struggled with math, to reduce negative thinking and make significant growth. Visual representations are used to help students solve problems, but since there are many ways to reach the correct answer if you want to use another method, we can do that. The bottom line is that I can explain things multiple ways. No matter your skill level, if you are willing to put in the work, I will assist you in understanding and help you feel comfortable solving problems on your own.
Teacher Specialization
For most of my 15 years teaching I have taught middle school math and have tutored for the last 10 years. The majority of this time has been teaching in big cities, but my students have also lived in suburban and rural areas. It's neat that I have had students from so many places; some kids have had steers or horses, while others only know the concrete lifestyle. It doesn’t matter where you live, I can relate with everyone!
