Bio
Hello! My name is Ann Withington. I have been a teacher for over 15 years and I love to teach students of all ages. I think the best part of teaching is having students make connections to previous experiences or existing background knowledge. I believe that teaching includes building interest and engagement with students. When they are interested in the topic, they are more willing to participate, ask questions, and ultimately master the content. I tutor in all subjects: math, history, science, and language arts (both reading and writing).

I am a certified Pre-K to 8th-grade teacher with 15 years of experience in the beautiful state of VA. I have taught grades 2-6 and Middle School Math for grades 7-8. I have tutored for over 10 years in both elementary and middle school subjects, as well as test prep (ISEE, SSAT, CogAT, etc.) I have a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership.
