Hello! My name is April Collins. I am truly blessed because I was able to turn my passion into my career. I love making connections with students that support their passions, learning and growth mindset. My goal is to help students connect targeted learning with real word application and support whole child learning. I strive to give students the tools they will need to become successful, confident, life-long learners. I have a Level of Effectiveness score of 5. This means that I have scored above expectation in teacher observations, individual student growth and student achievement. I look forward to working with your child and helping them to meet their learning goals.
Teacher Specialization
I have 8 years of teaching experience, three in-person and five virtually. I have a B.S in Interdisciplinary Studies of Human Growth and Learning. I am finishing my last class to have a M.ED in Online Instruction. I have continued to grow and develop as an educator through these experiences. 1 years experience teaching kindergarten in person 2 yrs teaching students with autism and learning disabilities 5 yrs teaching kindergarten virtually 3 summers teaching rising 1st graders in summer school
