My name is Ayesha Rushdan. I am a mom to 4 boys and 1 girl. I have both a Master of Science in Childhood Education and a Master of Science in Special Education from Birth to Grade 2. I believe that all children can learn and all children will learn but we have to meet them where they by strengthening their weakness and supporting their strengths to mastery and beyond. I take a hands on approach to tutoring and uses manipulatives where applicable, My tutoring goals are to help my scholars deepen their understanding of a skill by deepening their approach to how its learned. For example although math is linear, if you can teach to its patterns, present it visually and make connections to daily life learning math will become like breathing.

I am approaching my 21 years of teaching. I have taught grades K to 5 but have spent most of my teaching years with second graders. It is my goal to help improve student's academic performance and provide equitable access of resources to all students. As as educator in the 21st century it is my intent to work towards realizing shared goals and providing a learning experience that is vigorous, relevant, and aligned with Learning Standards. cI have been teaching online for the past three years.
