Bio
I uncover math gaps and build confidence by meeting the student at his/her point of understanding and explaining step-by-step. There is no need to rush; I teach at the student’s pace while promoting a growth mindset. I, Mrs. Beverly M, believe every child can learn, and it is my responsibility to figure out how to help the student understand and retain the lesson well enough to teach others. Engagement happens in various forms such as having students actually work problems and share their thinking, incorporating games, their interests, and including life application. My niche and passion is empowering students to succeed where they didn’t think they could. In fact, I had a parent call me "The Math Whisperer." Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing pickleball, fishing, and creating crafts from old books. I cannot bear the thought of throwing a book away.
