Bio
Hello Scholars! My name is Mrs. Holston and I am excited for this opportunity to help young people achieve their full academic potential! I have been teaching for about seven years, and six of those years have been in a virtual setting. I am married and we have one son and a four-year-old Pitbull. When I am not teaching, I enjoy binge-watching my favorite TV shows, spending time with family, traveling, and playing video games. I think education is about more than memorizing facts and solving complex equations. An individual's education should be designed to help that individual become a productive member of society. I decided to become a tutor so that I can help students learn how to express themselves through writing, think critically, and excel in the world of language and literature!
Teacher Specialization
I have 3 years of experience teaching Grade 7 English Language Arts and 4 years of experience teaching high school English, including British and World Literature, American Literature, English 9, and English 10. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in English and Secondary Education from Alabama State University and my Master of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in English from Auburn University at Montgomery.
