Bio
I am Mrs. Dillard, my husband and I have been married 30 years. We have three grown children and two grandchildren. I enjoy reading, teaching, sports, puzzles, music, exercise, cooking, and writing. I have been fortunate to tutor groups of diverse learners. Tutoring students is a passion for me. I listen to the hopes and dreams. I develop individualized learning plans for students. The learning plans are designed with input from the student to increase academic performance, understanding, and mastery. Parents and former students recommend me and return when they need additional tutoring. I connect with students by making them feel safe to ask questions, ask for help, make mistakes and learn by doing their best effort. Tutoring goals are fun, detailed, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-based. My students enjoy tutoring because they get to have their voice heard, practice skills aligned to their interests, have control over how they learn. We have fun making connections.
