Hi!!! I'm Cindy. I am very passionate about math and I enjoy interacting with teenagers; therefore, by teaching and tutoring, I was able to combine two of my very favorite things. When I am not tutoring, I want to see as much of the world as possible! I also enjoy reading, running, and spending lots of time with family. I enjoy helping students realize they are capable of being successful in math and encouraging them to build upon their strengths and prior knowledge. I use inquiry-based instruction to help students understand the process of solving the problem instead of just focusing on the answer. I am very passionate about math; and I enjoy helping in all secondary level math subjects. Please reach out to me when you need assistance or just confirmation that you are on the right track!!! Teacher Specialization
I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors Degree in Math and I am certified in math grades 6-12. During my 32 years of teaching, I taught math at the junior high level and the high school level. Since retiring in 2020, I have tutored students in various levels of math ranging from 6th grade through Calculus.
