Bio
Hello! My name is Clare! I believe that literacy is the most important skill for anyone to possess in our society. Being an effective communicator is essential to being able to successfully contribute to society. That teaching philosophy is the center of my teaching goals: I want to make a difference for students who struggle with reading, writing, and speaking. I build relationships with my students by creating lessons and activities that center around their interests and strengths.
Teacher Specialization
I am a graduate of Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts. I received a Bachelor's in English and doubled minored in Education and Psychology. Since graduation I have worked as a full time classroom English teacher for 6 years. I have taught grades 9-12 and even some college students during these years. I have also worked online as a tutor for 2 years teaching grades 6-12 and college level courses. I specialize in reading and writing.
