Bio
Hello! I am Colleen Scott. I have a Bachelor's Degree in All Level (EC-6) Special Education and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education. This experience gave me the tools to help me meet my students where they are at and build their confidence from the ground up. When tutoring, this is my goal, to meet students where they are at and help them build upon those skills to help them reach their goals. I enjoy reading both personally and professionally because of the possibilities it opens for me and my students. Math is fun, because I am a problem solver! I love to play games and music during class to have fun and get to know ,y students. When I am not teaching/tutoring, I enjoy working out, playing with my dogs, and a variety of crafts.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught for a total of 7 years. I taught special education in the public school system for five years and spent one year teaching at a local private school before coming to Stride K12 where I have been teaching for one year. During this time, I worked with students on a variety of skills from the most basic to more complex. This helps me when I am tutoring because it helps me see where the gaps may be and start from there.
