Hello my name is Ms. Gaither and I'm excited to be your tutor! A little about me, I have an 8 year old son. I enjoy doing puzzles and reading. I want to tutor because I want to help students gain confidence in math - math is a huge part of the world and can take you far in life! All students learn differently, I find that if I ask students questions while doing work they understand what they are doing better. I don't do the work for students, I aid them as they do it. I can differentate questions based on students knowledge levels and make them just challenging enough to invoke higher thinking without being too difficult. I hope to help students grow their confidence in math and get them to put in effort where they might be lacking. All students are welcome in my classroom and all answers are welcome. We can take a wrong answer and work together to find the right answer and understand why.

I taught 2 years in a tradtional public middle/high school where I worked with grades 6-12. I worked with students who needed math intervention to help close the gaps they had in their math understanding, I also worked with honors students and was able to push them to think outside the box. I now have taught online for 3 years and work with all kinds of students with different math backgrounds.
