Hello, hablo español, I am skilled in ELL/ESL instruction and I am super excited to meet you! I adore working with students (of all ages) and I believe learning should be fun!! I want to work with students so that they are able to talk about their confusions and then we can find a solution together. I also believe in developing mindfulness strategies to stress less and enjoy more. I love the outdoors, British mysteries, Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, and Stardew Valley. I am always excited for winter because it is the best season ever!! Snowboarding, paddleboarding, hiking, eating, and video games keep me happy when I'm not in the classroom. I have four years in K-12 Special Education and ten years in 6-12 English as a Second Language & Reading/Writing Intervention. I currently teach at Colorado Mountain College. I teach a variety of subjects. I am proficient in helping students develop study skills and improve executive functioning. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors in International Studies (focus in education) & a minor in Spanish. In 2012, I completed my Masters in Bilingual Education.
