Hi all, my name is Mrs. Holmes! I'm passionate about teaching, and I believe in empowering students and helping them move forward in their learning by understanding their own abilities. I know you've got this, I'm just here to help you get there in any way you need! As long as you have the work ethic and the WANT to understand something and get it done, I know you can do it! All students and their learning are important to me. I want to meet you where you are, and help get you to where you need to be. I'm so excited to work with you, no matter who you are! (If you enjoy having fun while learning and love TV/movies, reading, and sports, we'll have TONS to talk about!)
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in December of 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. While student teaching, I taught AP Language and Composition, Journalism, and Newspaper. I then taught ELA 11, Great Works, ENG 11, IB ENG HR 1. I took many English, Language, Literature, and Writing courses while undergoing my Undergraduate education, as well as Psychology. So, although I may not have taught the subject you need help with in a school yet, I am prepared to help!
