My name is Davia Whyte , I am licensed to teach 6th – 12 grades ELA , Elementary (K-5), and Special Education classes. I hold a master’s degree in education, and my teaching philosophy is every student can learn if they get the right exposure, appropriate learning environment, and effective tutoring. I am enthusiastic and energetic and like to make learning fun! I constantly provide feedback, encouragements and celebrate the successes of my students. I am also approachable, listen to my students, and genuinely care about their success. I learn about students’ interest and tries to incorporate those into tutoring sessions. For the past 23 year, I have been successful in many areas of teaching, such as, track record test scores, high student growth, effectively differentiating and supporting students. I received numerous awards including the Scholastic award for hard work and dedication to students. I was also recognized and honored for outstanding contributions to students.
