My name is David Wright. My hobbies include fishing, playing video games, and photography. I love nothing more than helping students achieve success, and that is my mission here with Stride/K12. I believe that no two students are alike, and each student deserves a learning environment that addresses their unique needs and learning styles. I am very big on making sure critical thinking is present in lessons. With my students, we do not merely 'scratch the surface', we go for the deep dive via formulating questions, thinking of all possible outcomes/answers, and getting the most out of content. Assessments help me gauge whether or not my students have ultimately mastered the content I provided. Seeing students smile and light up before coming to class, in person or virtual, is my ultimate assessment of teacher-student rapport and a welcoming learning environment. Bonus: I taught virtually and in-person simultaneously during the 2020-2021 school year.
