Hello!! I am Ms. K and it will be my pleasure to meet you! I grew up in the birthplace of our nation (Philadelphia), and now I reside in Virginia. Along the way I lived in California, Michigan, Georgia, and even Japan! I have worked with diverse groups of students in all of these places. I have traveled to a dozen countries and treasure all the takeaways I have gleaned from them! I enjoy completing word puzzles, roaming through art galleries, attempting to garden, and figuring out how to work my new binoculars. I hope to share my experiences with you as I help you reach your educational goals!
Teacher Specialization
I have more than 15 years experience teaching students from nearly all backgrounds and skill levels. I have taught ELA, English literature, English Learners, and various Social Studies/History courses to in-person and online students. I have been a department chair and an extracurricular club sponsor. The Bachelor of Arts in English was earned from Lycoming College. The Master of Science in Education was earned from Dominican University of California.
