Bio
Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Willis and I’m an experienced, passionate mathematics teacher that strives to make learning math exciting and effective for each student. I have a precious 2 year old daughter and a 4 year old sweet pitbull named Coffee because she has lots of energy! I live in Louisiana and I enjoy eating cajun/creole foods! I love sports, with basketball being my favorite. While I believe it is important to work hard, it is equally as important to have fun while doing so! In my classroom my students are challenged, encouraged, supported, and feel safe to learn new skills without the fear of failing. Whether we're mastering a skill or competing on Blooket, my goal is for you to have fun through it all. I look forward to helping you strengthen your math skills and accomplish your academic goals!
Teacher Specialization
I have 6 years of experience teaching and tutoring students in grades K-12. I have taught both virtually and face-to-face. I have significant experience developing and implementing individualized education plans for students with a wide range of learning needs. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC-Wilmington. My teaching certification is in Mathematics with specializations and training in grades 4-8, Algebra and Special Education.
