Hello! I'm Mrs. Rose - tutor, teacher, mom, museum-lover, and dog-mom to 2 Siberian Huskies. I am in my 9th year of teaching and am certified in both history and biology for grades 6-12. I love history and science, especially when the two subjects connect to each other! I have taught every grade from preschool through college, whether by working as a museum educator, a tutor, a high school teacher, or a college professor. I just love teaching and working with students! I started tutoring even before I became a teacher, so I have over 15 years of experience as a tutor. It is my goal to help students make connections with their classes during our tutoring sessions and find a way to bring your interests and skills into your studies. I use a variety of techniques in tutoring such as graphic organizers, diagrams, videos, and games. All of my tutoring sessions are personalized to the individual student based on their specific needs and goals. I can't wait to meet you and learn together!
Teacher Specialization
I have worked as a private tutor since 2005 and have helped students in grades K-12 in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, Spanish, History, and Science. I have taught high school since 2015, specializing in History, Biology, English, and a variety of Elective courses. My first 3 years of teaching were in a brick-and-mortar classroom, then I moved into virtual teaching! I have also taught Museum Studies courses to college students at Central Michigan University.
