Bio

Hi! Although I have recently retired from teaching, I had been in education for nearly 20 years as an adjunct college instructor and high school teacher in math and science. I also conducted college test prep sessions at the high school I was employed at. I have a passion for teaching and truly believe that everyone has the ability to improve, given the right attitude and the right teaching approach. In observing many students, I have found that lack of confidence in their own abilities tends to be one of the biggest hurdles in persevering and achieving. In addition to having outstanding mastery of the subjects I tutor, I have the ability to meet students where they are at and build on that foundation. I can then break down concepts in a way that allows each student to grasp them and build confidence in their abilities. I am eager to continue with my passion to help students achieve and succeed.

Teacher Specialization

I began my career in education as a technical trainer in the United States Navy teaching science and engineering. I taught math and chemistry classes as an adjunct instructor at local community college and recently retired as a high school math and science teacher. I attended the University of Illinois, the University of Central Florida, and Greenville University.
