"Learn the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist." -Picasso- I love helping students refine their reading/writing skills! I've worked with all levels from grades 7-12, emphasizing writing in all courses. I meet students wherever they are in their writing journeys; every student has different needs.The most rewarding aspect of teaching is offering individualized writing feedback and watching students learn to love their written voice. Academic writing success starts with rapport. To build that rapport, here's a snapshot: I practice hot yoga, I love all-things "nature," I'm interested in sustainability efforts, and baking is a bit of a side-hobby. I've got two beautiful young daughters, a brown chocolate-lab husky mix, and a husband. I'm an English teacher, yogi, research-geek, tree hugger, voracious reader, and a dedicated mama, but above all I am kind. Let's work together!

Teacher Specialization

I received both B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from Rutgers University. My full time teaching experience was at Audubon Jr./Sr. High School from Jan '15 - March '20. I've been on maternity leave since March '20 to present, refining a different (but still invaluable) set of skills that can help with tutoring: patience, compassion, empathy, resourcefulness, and creativity.
