Hello! I am so happy to meet you! My name is Joei Dyes, and I have been teaching English for more than thirty years. During my career, I have taught every grade level from first grade up through the college level. Currently, I teach high school juniors and seniors who are earning dual college credit for my courses. I LOVE teaching grammar, writing, and reading. I love words, and I enjoy helping young people develop an enthusiasm for reading, speaking, and writing. I am passionate about helping students find their voice and become empowered to communicate creatively and effectively through their words. It would be my honor to work with you as your tutor. After graduate school, I was a newspaper reporter before becoming a full-time college instructor, who taught English. creative writing, and journalism. Later, I became a secondary school teacher, specializing in English, journalism, creative writing, history, multicultural studies, and test-taking strategies. During my career, I have taught elementary, middle, and high school students.
