Bio

Hello! My name is Ms. Jaksa and I'm excited to be your tutor! I’m currently a high school science teacher with Stride and I graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelors of science in education with a major in chemistry and minors in physics, math, and Spanish! I'm a big fan of getting outside and I have numerous hobbies including rock climbing, hiking, skiing, camping, and reading! I’ve tutored previously and loved it, so I’m excited to be tutoring again! I believe that every student is unique and learns in their own unique way, so I'm focused on building connections with students first and learning from them how I can best assist them in our tutoring sessions. In my sessions I'm focused on not only helping students with their academic needs, but also helping them build critical thinking and problem solving skills that will continue to support them in the future. I'm an upbeat person and love to make our sessions and learning fun! I’m looking forward to working with you!

I’m a certified teacher in Michigan. I have a bachelor’s of science in education with a major in chemistry and minors in physics, math, and Spanish. I’ve been teaching with Stride for about 3 years and I previously tutored for a little over 2 years as well.
