Bio

I am excited to begin this journey with you and your student. My daughters (26 & 17) and I live in Northern Arkansas. As an experienced educator, both inside the classroom as a student and as a teacher, I understand the challenges and benefits that online learning can bring. Because as teachers, we are not instructing classrooms filled with robots, we must take into account both the planning and the implementation of our subject matter. We must remind ourselves daily that students will come to us from a variety of walks of life and many will require more than a simple “handing out of a worksheet” to get them motivated about learning. Taking the time to find out what motivates our students is the first hurdle we need to leap. The manner in which students learn cannot be skimmed off the top of someone’s theory of education nor should it be tailored into a one-size fits all approach. I believe meeting your students where they are is best chance for success!
