Hello my name is Kevin O'Brien and I have been a teacher and worked with students for over 10 years both in the classroom and as a tutor online. My teaching philosophy is that all students are smart and capable and I like to build that confidence in students through positive reinforcement, encouragement and building student rapport. I also like to create a relaxed and safe learning environment where students feel comfortable and ready to do their best !

I have a been a teacher and tutor for over 10 years. I served as a K12 classroom teacher with New York City public schools for 5 years and am a graduate of the New York City Teaching Fellows program. For the past 3 years I have been working with students online. The majority of my experience has been at the middle school level teaching ESL and Math. I hold professional teaching licenses in New York state and in the state of Florida, as well as a Master’s degree in Education.
